Take the road less traveled....it's more scenic, more challenging, and more fun!

Your Rig could be here! Email us for info!

Here's a chart for those of you who have larger than stock tire sizes.

The target range for optimal horsepower and close-to-stock gear ratios are indicated in Pale Yellow.

Taller gear ratios that are acceptable are in the Darker Yellow.

The 2-digit numbers at the top, going from left to right starting at 24 and ending at 44, indicate your tire height size. Your gear ring ratio is located in the left column starting at the top and works its way down.

Example:

My tire size is 28" tall and my gear ratio is 3.73 .

I want to put 31" tall tires on it. I look for where the Pale Yellow bar meets just before the Darker Yellow bar. This should give me a reading of 2325 rpms - 2545 rpms.

There are 3 gear sizes to choose. I would choose the middle gear size (2444 rpms) to correct the speedometer readings. That gear ratio would be 4.10 .

Before you go anywhere, be sure to take along a couple of off road checklists. These are handy enough for you to print out everything you need to check off what you have, and what you don't have yet!
